I was stoked when Liliana Barrs of Undefined Lilies invited me to work with her for Etheria. The event itself is a fantastic idea: “Etheria is an event focused on DESIGN.  It’s not a discount event – the idea is to bring together the creativity of designers and have them work together.  Frequently jewelry designers make things to go with a piece of clothing.  Etheria turns this idea on its head, and asks the clothing designer to make something to go with a jewelry designer’s piece.” and it’s been great to work with my sim-mate Lilie whose quirky and fashionable jewellery designs I greatly admire.
The theme for the event, that inspired Lilie’s gorgeous necklace (see it here) and in turn this lingerie set, is “Painted Ladies”. Event organiser Mouse Mimistrobell explains the theme in her blog post about the event here.

The Barr None set is more of a stylised and modern lingerie interpretation of the theme, I didn’t want to stray into costume territory but to still evoke the spirit of the period and, of course to complement the Holly is Manifold necklace. The necklace itself, I feel beautifully balances the vintage theme with being a very fashionable and wearable pieces. The lingerie set is nude with 5 different trim colours (each to complement the 5 gem colours of the necklace).

Etheria Event SLurl

In other news, because at this time of year it can be hard to balance commitments with Second Life shopping (and because I forgot to blog it earlier) our Fifty Linden Friday item is still out!

We’re saying good-bye to Fifty Linden Friday. Whippet & Buck has been honoured to be a part of the permanent rotation since the second week of FLF when we had no idea the event would become so big and such an institution in the Second Life shopping community. Though the event itself is ending the creativity of our community is here to stay and we’re looking forward to where the coming year will take us.

Lounge Pants, Lace Dress & Cuffs

You may have noticed that we started updating our store fittings a couple of months back and as of this release we’re trying different packaging too. Whippet & Buck products now come in a neat little canvas bag (still touch to unpack but more stylish to wear) and we’re taking this opportunity to start adding product pictures to the boxes because it’s something a lot of shoppers seem to appreciate. Feel free to drop one of us (Twiggy Whippet or Dakota Buck) a line and tell us what you think about these changes.

These are simple soft pants with a wide elasticated waistband for lolling about in. These are a previous Fifty Linden Friday item now in eight colours and the fatpack has been priced to accommodate those who bought the 4 colours released then.

The dress we made for the November round of Collabor88 is now in store. The bodice of the dress is semi-sheer lace with piping detailing while the lower part of the dress is a more subdued solid. The dress is available in four colours.

Our most recent Fifty Linden Friday item is now at its full (but still cheap) price. This super versatile and modifiable cuff is something that I (‘Kota) made for myself but now it’s texture change in 14 fashionable shades.

Pufflings Release, Holiday Bunnies, and Special Events!

Hello Ozimals friends!

The time is finally here - the Pufflings are going out to explore the world beyond Oz and they are eager to meet you!  To learn all about Pufflings, go to our NEW wiki!  You can learn everything you need to know about bunnies, Pufflings, and all our other products and services.

The Puffling packs will be available beginning at 6 pm SLT today, December 12th.  We will shut down the Ozimals sim at some point between 4 pm and 5 pm SLT to prepare the Pufflings main store for launch.  If you need bunny items you can still visit our satellite store on Ozimals Orientation or purchase on Marketplace. 

The Pufflings main store is set up with Starter Packs on the left as you enter, Accessories on the right, and Food on the back wall.  If you have any problems or questions, just take a look at the tree in the center of the store for an online CSR to help you.

The Pufflings items WILL NOT immediately be available on Marketplace since there will be so many in world locations to pick them up, but we anticipate having them in Marketplace by the beginning of next week.

Ozaria is currently live for your Pufflings! We are wrapping up a few loose ends so some portions may not be fully active yet,  but should be by the end of the week. If you haven't logged in yet, give it a try now!  (What is Ozaria, you ask?  Ozaria is a website where you can access information and family history about Ozimals pets you own, list and search Ozimals pets for sale, check rewards program balances, connect with other Ozimals community members, and more!)

To help celebrate the Pufflings release, we are doing a very special event called the Pufflings Present Pursuit!  The event will run from December 22nd through January 12th and will have lots of great creators like Katat0nik, Sanu, new trails, lassitude and ennui, and many more participating with special themed gifts for you - mark your calendar and watch notices for more details coming in the next day or two.

Also, it is time for the Holiday Bunny update!  The update will be available on December 16th and the holiday period will run from December 19th - January 2nd.  You must update your bunnies in order to have a chance for the Winter Holiday Elites. More details to come in a separate notice. :)

We were happily surprised when invited to guest design something for the Fashionably Late event over at CHIC. So we made some Fur Ankle boots to match our Arm Furs! We’re also very excited, because this is the launch of our new FOOTverk shoe line.
